Emotions are not "soft" – they are an essential part of the way we work.
Emotions directly influence:
- Thinking and decisions – what we prioritize, how we evaluate risks and opportunities, how flexible we are.
- Behavior and performance – effort, perseverance, initiative, taking responsibility, the desire to collaborate openly.
- Relationships and trust – psychological safety, trust in leaders, quality of team collaboration.
- Learning, innovation and adaptation – a productive emotional context allows growth; otherwise, we defend, block and stagnate.
- Wellbeing and retention – unproductive environment → burnout, quiet quitting, emotional exhaustion. Healthy environment → resilience and loyalty.
Emotions are social and contagious: they spread quickly in teams and become norms. Repeated norms become the emotional culture of the organization.
How we feel at work directly influences how we work, collaborate and perform.
In recent years, the work context has changed profoundly. Hybrid work, economic uncertainty and the accelerated pace of change have influenced not only how we work, but also how we feel at the workplace.
For many people, emotional exhaustion, decreased energy or disengagement have become frequent experiences, not exceptions.
At the same time, organizations are trying to build healthy work environments, but without clear data about the emotional reality of people.
Currently, in Romania there is no national benchmark showing how we feel at work. This study aims to create this benchmark.
What we aim to do with "Emotions at Work"
We launch the first national study on emotional culture in Romania (anonymous, quick).
We build a national report + industry reports based on your real responses.
We organize a cross-industry workshop and co-create a Best Practices Guide for a healthy and sustainable emotional culture (including zero-budget solutions).
Participation is 100% anonymous.
Your responses are completely anonymous and cannot be associated with your identity or the organization you belong to.
The study does not collect names, email addresses or other information that can identify a person individually.
Data is analyzed exclusively at an aggregate level, to understand general trends.
